BREAKEVEN AT

A fraction of the distance from Entry → Take-Profit. If Breakeven At = 0.5, once the end-of-day close reaches 50% of the way to TP (after protection activates), the stop-loss is moved to the entry price (breakeven). One-way ratchet: it never loosens.

For a LONG: triggers when close ≥ entry + 0.5 × (TP − entry)

For a SHORT: triggers when close ≤ entry − 0.5 × (entry − TP)

TRAILING

A trailing stop that locks in a fixed share of peak unrealised profit. If Trailing = 0.4, the dynamic stop captures 40% of the move from entry to the best close achieved so far. It updates at end-of-day and only ratchets tighter as the peak grows — it never loosens.

For a LONG: (dynamic) SL = entry + 0.4 × (peak_close − entry)

For a SHORT: (dynamic) SL = entry − 0.4 × (entry − trough_close)

WHEN DOES PROTECTION ACTIVATE? *

Protection updates at end-of-day on day_num ≥ 1. Therefore,

• Day 1 (intraday; gap and morning trend assessed for Entry): original stop-loss is in effect (no protection yet)
• End of Day 1: protection is evaluated (day_num = 1 ≥ 1 → condition met), breakeven/trailing calculated
• Day 2 onward: the updated dynamic stop applies from the open

Effects stack: the dynamic stop-loss uses the tighter of original stop-loss, breakeven, and trailing.

HORIZON (D)

If neither the take-profit nor stop-loss is hit, the trade has a hard expiry: close the position at the last available close on or before the Horizon (D) trading day (per-tier horizons apply when configured). No exceptions — this is the maximum holding period.
